I noticed it in a special weather statement yesterday. With a storm forming off the Jersey coast, it was going to pull in some and generate some colder air. Really, it’s the first time that has occurred this mild fall so far. They said there was a chance of snow and maybe even some accumulation north of here and in the higher elevations.

Shortly after dawn, there were periods of snow flurries falling here in Mount Joy. It’s been too warm and is above freezing, so there should be no accumulation, but it is still nice to see the flakes flying.

Finally, we have a seasonable cool day, and it’s delightful to see the snow falling. It’s about time we got a legit coastal storm! The temperature was even falling slowly after sunrise this morning. This is the first time that has occurred this season so far.

Here’s to hoping for better snow this winter than last year and really the past several winters.
