Even though there was a chance of snow it seemed to be a freezing rain when it started. The temperature was 31.5 ℉ when it started. It didn’t seem to be freezing to the ground but it was to elevated surfaces. It crept over freezing near lunch time and the ice began melting shortly after that. The cold air put up a good fight today. The day after the freezing rain changed over was mostly moderate to heavy rain.The total rainfall from my weather station today is off. I’d imagine that the ice interfered with the measurement. All the other local stations have a half an inch or so more of rain.
