Second Snow In A Week
Today is a very nice winter day. It is a snowy day. The snow seems to be overshooting the forecast too! This is already more than we had last year. Last winter was pathetic except for a couple of dry, cold shots. Snow was mostly nonexistent.
This afternoon, as the snow seems to be winding down, I would guess that we had maybe four more inches today. It’s difficult to tell since it’s on top of the old snow from earlier this week. These two storms have been nothing spectacular, but a nice fresh snow cover is so great to have.
I have to take some time to enjoy this snow because the next storm looks like it will rain again. There really doesn’t seem to be much of a shot of snow in the foreseeable future. The cold air will be staying north again, like it has done all winter here, except for the past week or so.
There wasn’t much of a breeze with today’s snow. It’s been fairly calm, with the snow more or less floating straight down. Even when the snow was falling at a heavy rate, it looked like just gentle snow, since the wind was not blowing it all around. It’s not something that occurs too often, since snow is so light and fluffy that a fly’s fart can blow it.
