Tried Goat Simulator Boss Again And Beat Him

I did sleep well last night and woke up feeling pretty good. I woke up too early, but that is nothing new. Of course, the pointless time change only worsens that. I don’t comprehend why that’s even a thing anymore.

I drank my coffee and enjoyed it. Hearing the howling wind made the hot coffee seem even more pleasant this morning. Something about windy days makes it taste even better. Maybe it is just nostalgia from my childhood.

I had a simple WOD this morning. I wasn’t super aggressive with the weight or speed. After searching for a workout to do, I did a SHIFT version of one with step-ups and dumbbell snatches. The farmer step-ups are not a variety I like to do too often. I feel like the dumbbell will catch the box as I step backwards from it, and it does at times. My arms are just the right length. Stepping up and down on the box is a challenge enough for my vision. They are great exercises, but my disability does interfere with their safety a bit.

It was a good WOD that got my heart rate up nicely. This workout was far superior, in my opinion, to the steaming pile of crap they chose for the Vault WOD this week. That was too many push-ups (plus taps), which are dumb in a WOD setting. Just simple pushups would be sufficient. The taps add no real value. The idea reminds me of the old Crossfit mentality of “Our warm-up is your workout.”

I decided that I would play some XBOX while I had some time to kill before the Phillies came on. I haven’t played all that much lately, since I have most of the things done in Goat Simulator 3. This morning, I decided to take another shot at the boss, and it was worth it. While I recognized the patterns in the first part, I didn’t have the patience to make use of what I saw with the fireworks. Today I got through it in a couple of tries. The rest of it was fairly easy, too. Each stage was something different. There were some surprises, and it had all the right touches to make it enjoyable.

I loved the progressive glitching as I destroyed the servers, and then the eventual fake blue screen. All in all, the boss fight was well done. It wasn’t overly difficult, but not too easy either. It wasn’t terrible visually, like some boss fights are these days, which has ruined some games for me.

I played as the farmer for a bit but wanted to eat and hop on the computer a little before the Phillies came on, so I kept that time short.
