It was humid last night again. The low was near 70¼. When I woke up at about 5:00 AM I saw some distance flashes of lightning. The morning was mostly cloudy but the sun did peek out. The sun came out around mid morning and the temperature rose rapidly into the lower 80s with high dew points. At 1:00 PM it was in the mid 80s with sun and clouds. I was hearing distant thunder from stationary storms just to our west. The afternoon high was a very humid one with the actual temperature in the upper 80s. We continued getting missed by storms just to the north and west ans they sat there. During evening we finally got under the edge of a storm from a splitting line. Lots of distant lightning along with a burst of heavy rain and some wind. Not much though. At least it cooled the temperature back into the upper 60s.
