We had a really nice sunrise this morning. I wasn’t expecting to be that enjoyable, but it turned out to be a pretty good one. I noticed it when I went into the kitchen to get the last of my coffee.

It’s helped me with the holiday funk. The holiday funk is real, and I get it every single year. Most times I can kind of push it aside, but this year it seems to be a little stronger.

When I was grabbing the coffee, I noticed that the sky was getting pretty colorful with some clouds in it. I grabbed my phone to go outside and get a picture. As it turns out, today the timing was perfect.

Normally, with the buildings and trees, we’re unable to see the actual sun during sunrise or sunset. Today the timing in both the time of day and season were perfect so that the sun was between the buildings and trees. I was able to see it and get a picture of it barely touching the actual horizon. That was a nice change of luck for sure. Technically, it’s above a distant building, but it was still a nice surprise.
