First Time Seeing Snow In The Forecast This Fall
Last week was mild. Very mild. The entire autumn has been mostly mild, with some cooler weather mixed in here and there. This week is the polar opposite, with the highs being in the 40s.
This morning when I glanced at the weather forecast from the National Weather Service, I saw the “S” word mentioned for the first time this year, at least locally.
Today A chance of snow before 4pm, then snow, possibly mixed with rain. High near 43. Calm wind becoming east 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
It’s nothing special, but it’s a start. It’s not an early first snow, but it’s not a late one either. Sure, it almost certainly won’t accumulate to anything, but it would certainly be nice to see some flakes flying. It’s getting to be that time of the year now, and it’s never been a big secret that I love snow and winter.
