It never fails, especially with more local to the area stuff. If there’s a tragic news story or post, people waste no time at all to comment “prayers.” I get that they think that it helps, but if they really wanted to help they’d put a little more effort than posting the same social media comment that they post to everything else.

If there was a god, and he was all knowing, he wouldn’t need to read Facebook comments to know who’s praying. Surely, he’d already know without the attention-grabbing comments. It seems almost as if it’s a competition to see who can post the “prayers” or, even worse, just the emoji for praying first. If you want to actually help people do something useful, but wait, that would take actual time and effort.
