We finally have ourselves in a winter weather advisory for 2-4 inches of snow tonight. It’s not much, but it will be better than nothing.

I had to laugh last evening when I saw the neighbor going through the process of getting the snowblower ready. I still think it’s the laziest thing that I’ve seen to see them using a snowblower to do the 16 feet of sidewalk and around their now 3 parked cars on the street. Small engines are so terrible for the environment, when it could probably be done just as quickly with a shovel.

It’s not like we regularly get heavy snowfall here. We usually get a couple of small storms a year. Maybe a foot or more of snow occurs about once every three to five years.

But wait! They snow blow all the shit off the street, even after the boro spreads salt. I think that’s what kills our milkweed out from. They insist on blowing that shit into our front yard.

I don’t understand why they feel like they needed to have a snowblower other than to keep up with the Joneses. Funnily enough, The Joneses down the street also have a snow blower, but he’s been doing most of the block’s sidewalks for years and has helped us out in the very deep snowfalls we’ve had. We even gave him a little cash towards his new snowblower when the old one finally died.
