I glanced at the weather forecast this morning and seeing the chance of dry thunderstorms really caught my attention. It’s very rare around here. Not so unusual in the western United States but here on the east coast it’s not something that happens.

The last time I can remember a dry thunderstorm was back in 1988. I remember a storm up the mountains in the late 90s with vicious cloud to ground lightning with very little rain but I think that was more a case of the rain missing us.
