Tired But Did A WOD!

I haven’t been feeling well at all for the past couple of days. I’ve had some sort of stomach bug, and it’s caused lots of shitting of the liquid variety. The Diarrhea became almost pure water at one point. Yesterday morning, I woke up feeling super dehydrated. You know, dry skin, pasty mouth and all that shit. I stepped on the scale and had lost 6.7 pounds in twenty-four hours. I was really questioning whether I had actually jinxed myself when I told Molly I haven’t shit myself since I was a kid. That’s how urgent it was.

At some point, I started feeling a little better yesterday and did a WOD. I did okay at it, but not great. I had the shits again last night and was up late again, but nearly as bad or long-lasting as the night before.

I gained 4 pounds back this morning and was feeling a lot better, at least in the stomach. I was feeling exhausted, though. Ended up getting a fever for a couple of hours, then felt all around better after that went back down. At least I wasn’t laying there just having nonstop gut cramps today.

Around 1:00 pm, I decided to give today’s WOD a shot. I scaled the weight back to twenty five pounds for the power snatches since it was a set of 30, and I know how I’ve been feeling. I took the step-ups slower too since I’m still feeling a bit “off.” I did okay at the WOD and met my goal of just moving today.

As the day went on, I continued to feel better. This is the first I’ve had a stomach bug since maybe 2013, so I can’t bitch too much.

Music for the WOD was Alice In Chains.

After supper, so far so good, knock on wood, we went for a nice mile or so walk. I had a meatball parm sub from Two cousins for supper, figuring that would be a good test for my stomach. The sandwich was pretty good today, although the bread was maybe a little more toasted that I would have preferred, but that’s just my personal preference. It tasted great and that’s what really matters.

The walk was enjoyable too on this fairly mild early April evening with it being in the upper 50s. Today was the first time we’ve been able to go for a good walk in a while do to either weather or other things. The grass is all green now and some trees are starting to flower or green up. It’s feeling like spring now.
