Amtrak has been blowing horns and having equipment down on the tracks for a while now. I’ve read that they’re replacing the tracks and some other stuff. I heard some equipment down on the tracks, so I walked over to the bridge to see what it was. It looked like the machine was pulling spikes. I couldn’t see it that well because it was basically right under the bridge. All I could really see was the whole bin full of rusty spikes. A kid walked over and was watching too and said how cool it was.

What caught my attention was the honeysuckles hanging off the edge of the fence. There were lots of them. We’d always see them growing up, but around here I just don’t notice them as often.
