This afternoon brought thunderstorms repeatedly popping up and passing just to our south. We only got a little light rain, but this evening I was treated to a very vivid rainbow.
Here it is March 19th and after our mid 70s spring like day a broken line of thunderstorms was moving through the area in the evening. We were between cells so we got nothing more than some very light drizzle. We did get to see some lightning in the distant thunderstorm off to our south east and a red rainbow since it was just about at sunset.
We had a pretty good thunderstorm here this evening. On top of that, there was a nice double rainbow this evening as the storm moved off to the east.
We just had our first rainbow of the year and it was a vivid double rainbow.
The theme for this summer seems to be double rainbows. Here is a picture of our fourth one of the year here in Mount Joy.
We had a pretty good thunderstorm this evening. As that moved away we had our third double rainbow of the year. It’s only been a little over a week since the last one.
Even though we really did not get much rain from it there was a thunderstorm in the right spot to our east that we had our second double rainbow of the year. It was also the second double rainbow in a week’s time here in Mount Joy.
When we were driving home we saw a double rainbow. This one was very vivid!
We had some heavy rain and then the sun came out while it was still raining. Of course I went to see if there ws a rainbow and there as a double rainbow.
We were at Cape May when we had a good thunderstorm move over us in the evening. When it moved off the coast the sun came out. We saw a rainbow out over the ocean. That’s the first time in my life I’ve witnessed a rainbow over the ocean myself.
