This season the Eagles have sucked. I mean really sucked. Everything about the offense has been a freshly steaming yet still somehow rotted pile of shit. I will at least watch some of the game. It’ll remind me of the Chip Kelly years which I watched them even though I knew they’d loose before I turned it on or back in the late 90s. Bring on Hockey season in a couple of weeks!
The story of the 2020 Eagles. They suck. The whole NFC East sucks really but the story of the Eagles this year is regression. Everyone has regressed. Even hurts caught the Wentz with stupid turnovers today. Injuries have been wicket yet again for the Eagles this season and that’s not really been very helpful either. At least we’re watching a movie after the game is over. Today will be our fourth day in a row doing that.
I wasn’t sure how it was going to go with the Crossfit games this year with COVID and all the drama surrounding it over the past summer. They had also turned the open into a train wreck which seemed to make it uninteresting. Fast forward to now we spent a good part of this past weekend watching all of the games events. Although it was clear Friday who the winners already were the rest of the spots were close and always changing.
I really didn’t have much hope for the Flyers coming into this season. Years of seeing them under perform will do that to you but this year was different. They for the most part showed up in the first period and played entire games and their record showed that. Now they are down three games to two in the playoffs against the Islanders. That’s better than I expected given they struggled against this team all season.
I have really enjoyed watching the Flyers play this year. I feel like they’re living up to their potential for a change. Maybe it’s just the right coaches and right players for a change but it seems like they’re actually showing up for entire games and trying the whole game no matter what. It’s been a nice change of pace for them. Now if only the Phillies didn’t suck! They beat the Candiens in six games.
I don’t remember what we were talking about today but it clicked that it has been 3 months since I’ve chosen to watch anything on TV myself. My girlfriend hasn’t really turned on the television either. I think it was brought up because I wondered if and when their will be any new Saturday Night Live episodes. There was a show a few weeks ago I thought about wanting to see if it was available on YouTube TV but then when I went to search I drew a blank so I guess it wasn’t all that important to me.
I watched and enjoyed the Superbowl last night. It was a good game and different teams in it. Sure I’d have preferred the Eagles be in it but that wasn’t happening. I would have rooted for the 49ers against any other team but once it was the Chiefs I had to root for Andy Reid. He brought lots of good games to the Eagles when he coached them. All in all it was a good game and fun one to watch.
I’ve been a hockey fan for a long time. Even as a toddler I liked watching it with my dad even though I really couldn’t see it and understand it then. It’s just so fast. The past few years the Flyers just haven’t been that fun to watch. It was like they just didn’t care to play a whole game. This year is different. They seem like they always want to win.
Hey at least the Eagles made it to the playoffs. All it took was some practice squad guys and some that they probably found at Wawa. They beat the Cowboys! Thats all that really matters this year. Not only that but they made the Cowboys look like shit when they needed to win. Hopefully The Eagles can solve the injury problem. There’s been to many injuries that past few years.
Quite a while ago we cut cable back to the most basic plan they had since the prices kept increasing with nothing of value added while they were giving discounts to new customers and everyone that asked except us. We also didn’t like the idea of contracts. Eventually they encrypted then wanted to charge for the basic over the air channels so we returned those converters and tried an antenna. We weren’t watching that much TV at that time and what we wanted was mostly streamed.
I enjoyed the defensive aspect of the Superbowl along with a couple of drinks of absinthe. It’s probably not all that popular of an opinion but I liked the game. Here is my favorite touchdown the rams scored. . For the record Big dick Nick Foles is that last quarterback to throw a touchdown in the Superbowl! Now on to Hockey. The Flyers suck but still..
It’s finally here. In the beginning of the Season I had high hopes that my Eagles would make it again but those hopes were killed off in the middle of the season. Things improved and injuries improved enough that they made it to the playoffs then lost to the Saints. Naturally it’s the Patriots against someone else again because they’re that good. It’s funny seeing all the hate on them especially from people that don’t even watch football.
Last Sunday’s game was a fun one to watch and I would have felt the same way not matter how it ended. Of course the win was preferable but it was just a fun game to watch. Let’s see what next week brings. Ideally it will be a win and a statement win where the Eagles run up the score like the Saints did earlier this year.
Last year something happened that would never happen in my life. The Eagles won the super bowl!. I knew they had a good team then but really was county one, well more expecting for the Philly curse to stop them. The Philly sports curse is if there’s a way to fuck it up they will. Anyways after a rough year this year the eagles improved and things happened to get them back to the playoffs.
Back a couple of years ago I started getting interest in baseball again. Now I am really enjoying it probably more than I did as a kid. The games seem to go much faster with less screwing around between pitches. It also helps that the Phillies are doing extremely well and one can never write off a game when they’re behind.
I haven’t paid much attention to baseball even though I have become interested in it again for the first time since the strike in the 1990’s The main reason is because I don’t know what channel the Phillies are on with our cable channels. Just last week Molly was surfing and I saw them while she left the room with that channel on. I noticed they don’t take as long between pitches now as they used to which would make it more enjoyable to watch.
Well the Eagles lost last night to New Orleans. It didn’t surprise me at all because Philly teams always loose in the playoffs. It was a fun surprise to even see the Eagles make it to the playoffs this year because a few games ago I didn’t expect them to even make it in. The game was close so it was a lot of fun to watch. I was surprised to see them punt when they wouldn’t get the ball back.
