This morning I was updating my FreeBSD to 13.2 since freebsd-update
found it. On my server, it went without a hitch. Here on my desktop, I couldn’t make it start SDDM. Upon some other experimenting, it wouldn’t load services that were installed from ports. That was strange. My first serious try to get things working was to reinstall all of my ports, which isn’t a bad idea after an update anyway.
We walked past the corner where the flowers come up in the spring when we walked over to Harvey’s BBQ for a late lunch/ early supper. We noticed that the daffodils are in full bloom at that corner.
Yesterday was a really nice day from the start, but today was slower to start. By mid-afternoon, the clouds moved out, and it warmed into the lower 80s. Late in the afternoons, a refreshing southerly breeze kicked in.

The idea of using a dict to make my weather partials a little easier to read has intrigued me for a while. I did some learning and then finally got around to switching it over. Looks much cleaner now.
I did not sleep enough last night. My brain woke me up in the middle of the night, then I just found myself wide awake. Eventually, I just got up and drank my coffee. Went and did my heavy squats at about eight this morning.
The past week or so, I’ve been noticing that the trees are beginning to flower. Today they caught my attention across the street where I could get a good picture of them.
The winter that just ended was not a good one at all for us snow lovers. We had hardly any, and the winter was dominated by a southeast ridge, keeping it mostly mild. I had to mow the lawn in late March because it’s growing so much and so green.
The other day, I accidentally booted into windows for something. I was reminded just how hostile the experience can be when I had to click through ads when I logged in.
