Fitness and everything else
Welcome to my personal website. here are my latest blog posts.
This spring has been a very dry one. Weβve had less than a third of an inch of rain in May. The grass is mostly brown now.
Iβve been feeling off in the head from the time I woke up this morning. I still felt unbalanced from my head being stuffy when I did my heavy squats and that affected them. Even so, I still got them done.
We were finally able to grab a few caches after running to a couple of stores today. We went over to Overlook park for a nice walk in the sun and warm day.
This evening we were able to go out on the patio and do a WOD together. We spent the earlier part of the day running around and then planting the plants in the garden.
I was feeling pretty good this morning. I was anxious to get a WOD in before we did anything else. I ended up getting my deadlifts in too.
I was out in the garage watching Molly do her squats. We heard a very loud robin calling. I looked up and saw that it was perched on top of the umbrella pole on the table less than ten feet from the door.
I walked over to the bridge to see what I was hearing down on the train tracks. Theyβve been doing some construction. While over there, I noticed some honey suckles blooming and hanging over the edge of the road at the bridge.
I went out on the patio for a bit to get some sunshine this afternoon. I watched a robin hop around in the backyard for a bit. Just before I came in, I noticed bright yellow flowers on weeds.
Yesterday I noticed several red buds on our rose bush with numerous green ones. Sure enough this morning the first bud has opened.
My knee still feels a little weak if I step wrong going down the stairs, but itβs fine. Even with that, my heavy deadlifts today felt great. I just felt well-connected to the bar and weight.
