Now that we took the air conditioner out of the window I got woken up by AMTRAKβs work train doing their middle of the night track work. I get why they do it then but itβs still annoying when it interrupts my sleep.
Iβve never used a belt for my lifts and really havenβt ever even felt the need for one. Iβve been curious though and considering buying one to try it out. It canβt hurt to have another tool in the toolbox.
I have never been the person that is just able to fall asleep except on very rare occasions. When I was very hypothyroid I fell asleep randomly but other than that I just donβt unless Iβm sick or something. My brain just doesnβt shut down.
I really had low expectations for my lifting today. My quad started cramping shortly before I was ready to head into the garage. My lifts all felt good though.
Today I finally got a chance to break in the new dumbbells. I went with lighter ones than I could have because itβs new to me in a WOD but I was happy with it. These are going to be a great addition to our gym.
Recently I have been feeling pretty run down but today I wasnβt feeling as bad. My strength went pretty well. I may do my first WOD since Friday if Iβm feeling up to it later.
I did this weeks Street Parking sandbag WOD. It was pretty much an exercise in Murphyβs Law. I slipped and twisted my ankle on sweat doing lunges. Had trouble visually and a disappointing time. It was still a great workout.
